He sounded fantastic, perfect and himself. The performance itself was quality - he started sitting down on a stool and then got up and worked the stage in a charming way. He looked fantastic too - a suit with a tshirt instead of a button up...looked fab!
The judges tonight were very nice! Mark told Mrs Leith and Damiens sister (seriously need to get names here) that they should extend their visas haha and should stay. Marcia said that the horn work was very nice and perhaps some of the best that shes heard ahaha and that he was fantastic and kyle - he said something but i dont remember haha!

Oh, thanks so much for the recaps guys (lissa your summary was brief but so awesomely accurate!), I finally finished watching all the clips on YouTube (bless that site!) and downloading D's mp3 - it sounds just magnificent, have been playing quite a bit ;D
Yes neski, we need to sort out some names for Mrs Leith and sis. Or we'll end up using nicknames. Strange, random, meaningless nicknames that we pull out of thin air.
The clip I saw only showed the workshop with John and Erina, the performance *joy* and the comments (soooo glad Mark took his meds tonight). Was there more shown of Mrs Leith and sis (I feel random nicknames coming.....)?
You know, this is my second attempt at this post-show post. The first one I did a couple of hours ago in the...er...'heat' of the moment, and it was a long swoony declaration of everlasting love and devotion, really quite unbecoming to someone of my...er....age ;D So I'll be a little more refrained and say that I just adored this. D sounded like an absolute superstar (the download quality at oopson is fantastic), I really cant wait to hear him both live in person and recorded on a CD. I really hadnt expected him to sound so damn GOOD, I get so caught up with the false that sometimes I forget how luscious the rest of his range is. And the suit was blue! *so much joy* And as a diehard Radiohead fan, with "High and Dry" being one of my absolute favourites, I can say that in no way was I dissapointed. Not one little bit. Just loved it.
